So, another evening in Disney. Maybe being Friday, I notice more people with phones taking selfies and posted shots. It amazing how we think we are the star of the show.
But really, just a couple new thoughts. Legos. Cookies.
Next to the actual Disney Store, one of the most crowded was the Lego Store. I read that years ago, Lego almost went belly up. But then, in a marketing move that is still studied in colleges economic and marketing classes, Lego made a deal with Lucas and the Star Wars universe swooped in and changed the directory and history of Lego.
Ave the impact wasn’t lost even here at Disney (which has Star Wars in their portfolio now).
Outside the Lego store were some life sized Lego creations of various Star Wars personnel.
These creations were amazing. I contemplated the hours spent on them, the thousands of pieces that went in to their creation, and the brilliance of the creator.

This made me think of the church. The church is made up of many a small pieces, none noticeable when looking from afar but there none there less. The hours and effort that goes into the ministry work of a church. And mostly, the brilliance and wisdom of our Creator who designed and builds the Church.
I one time did an ordination where each person there signed a Duplo (big Lego piece) to remind the young minister of the nature of the church he was being called to serve.

My second take away from yesterday … waiting.
I finally succumbed to waiting in a line lasting longer than 5 minutes. And all for a piece of cake. It was Gideons Bakery and the lives lasted over an hour. They said the cookies were worth it. Maybe. But I got a slice of Andes Mint Chocolate Cake.

It was good, maybe not quite an hour good, but good.
People will wait for what they want. That goes to preaching too. If you fed the people what they need, they will not be worried about getting out right at noon (sorry Cecil).
There were more thoughts, but these two are enough.
Have s great day.
