It’s Sunday. And unusually, I am not at church unlocking, illuminating, turning the coffee on, last walk through lessons and sermon, and getting the AV/streaming ready. Feels … like something is. missing. Yet I know, my wonderful and quite capable partner and spouse has it all in hand. Well, maybe me sermon prep.
So I sit here, sipping coffee, relaxing and reading in the lobby of Margherittaville. (Don’t judge, I didn’t pick the spot). I did get up early enough to watch the sunrise.

But it was in these early moments of a days new light, when I noticed.
- Workers raking the sand for appearance
- Employees setting out beach chairs
- Housekeeping busily arriving for work
- A painter doing daily touch up on any surfaces that needed it
- Baristas going through the routine for early risers (liked me)
- And more
All basically early, unnoticed, and often unappreciated. But I do appreciate them. We all need each other, no one over there other. We are all creations of an Almighty God who loves the while world.
So maybe today, pay attention to everyone. Do you see someone that could use a “good job”, “thank you”, “you mean alot” … tell them.
