How does one introduce themselves? Especially when I am the first to say my life has been one with lots of mud on my shoes …
- I am a husband to a wonderful wife who is much smarter than me, I married up – way up!
- I am the father to one son – who also married up … they live in Fort Worth
- Father in Law to a young lady who I can find no better to influence my grandkids – her two plus the one coming
- Grandfather to two perfect (but often muddy) grandsons … and another kid on the way
- I am a pastor of a great, rural church in heartland Virginia … but have worked in many areas through the years and through out from Delaware to Texas
- Lots of school – lots … an undergraduate from Dallas Baptist University / graduate degree from Southwestern and Southeastern Seminaries / and post graduate studies from Southeastern (so close while writing that dissertation but life got muddy)
- I came to love hiking way too late in life but I have made the best of it … hitting National Parks from coast to coast … and those road trips are something I look forward to
- I drive an FJ Cruiser – and it has been with me coast to coast … Big Bend to Badlands … Up and down I-95 … across I-40 … on Route 66 … with miles to come!
- I am a city boy that lives in farmland country of heartland Virginia
- But above and through it all … I am a follower of Christ who strives live for Him in everything – sold out – steadfast – shining … but realize that life gets muddy
