2026 Goals for Christians #8

Have you stayed with me over this discussion? Have you mulled over any of the first seven goals? Which one made you think deeper, ponder course change, life choices? Has any of the first group taken hold?

I realized these are initially being discussed as part of a new year upon us, but the principles can happen any time, in any season, at any age. So whenever you are reading this, I hope you take them to heart and think about them.

Speaking of thinking about them, that brings us to number 8 … Thinking about them.

meditate – ponder, contemplate, reflect, muse, ruminate, consider, speculate, mull, deliberate, cogitate, study, excogitate, brood, chew over, weigh, reflect, examine.

But do all of that with a purpose.

8. Resolve to meditate on God’s Word

Scripture invites us into communion with God. When we slow down and meditate on God’s Word, it begins to shape how we think, feel, and live.

Practice: Read a short passage of Scripture and sit with it. Ask God what he wants to show you and let his truth settle into your heart.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” —Psalm 119:105
