And just like that … a Baby is Born

We got the call around 6.30 our time. She was in labor. We … Showered, finished loading the car, headed out.

Before we reached Roanoke, that kid popped out.

2 hours of labor. And out on the first push.

They didn’t even make the birthing center. A home born baby even before his siblings woke up. (Do they get a discount?)

Only the photographer made it in time (Millennials photo-document everything). The delivery team/nurse was on speaker phone. My son played doctor – but that may be what got him into this situation in the first place.

Bottom line – we obviously didn’t make it there in time. But he is here …
