6 months, 12 months, 32 years, 1 wild happy dance.

About 6 months ago, I became the pastor in Evergreen. It has been a wonderful time. New friends, pouring my life into a ministry and lives, great church family, and closer to my mother. I do miss my son, but I know he is good hands down there.

12 months ago, I started this blog on a regular basis. 288 posts, some better than others, some silly, some serious, and a lot of insight into my warped way of thinking.

32 years ago this month, Lisa said “I Do.” And life has been better than ever.

We have anniversaries, mile markers, special days, and a calendar full of markings. But in the end, what do all of those really mean? Yes, they bring smiles, happy thoughts, maybe even a happy dance (not a pretty sight to those who’ve seen me do this). But what it should really challenge us is to look ahead and make more memories.

Paul kind of said this, forgetting what lies behind, press forward.

So the question should be what do we desire in 6 months? 12 months? And 30 years? More friends, impacted lives, more years with Lisa, and maybe a new type of happy dance.
