I encourage you to pick up a book, log on to iBooks, or at least listen on Audible … and read a book today. It is national reading month and there is great adventure in the written word. So to honor today and this month, I share some wisdom from that favorite doctor of readers of all ages …
“There are so many things you can learn about, but
You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut.”
Lesson learned: Be curious about the world around you, and never stop learning.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go. “
Lesson learned: Knowledge is power, and books can transport you to amazing places.
“You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
Any direction you choose.”

“From there to here,
From here to there,
Funny things are everywhere.”
Lesson learned: Sure, there’s bad stuff out there. But when you stop and look around, the world really is a funny place too.
Don’t give up! I believe in you all.
A person’s a person, no matter how small!
So … put down Facebook, turn off the TV, pick up those books and have a great day.
