My grandson is a toddler – a true two year old. If there is any flaw with him, it’s that he doesn’t come to see his bubbish (nana? granny? memaw?) enough. But I guess that’s our fault. We do live over 1000 miles away. Thank God for FaceTime and mobiles.
He was here a few weeks ago … and I realized he has a few words in his vocabulary that he use quite often … ‘No’, ‘One More’ and the topic of today’s post … ‘Mine!’
Years ago, I came across a list of ten rules, ten rules of possession.

Yep, ‘Mine’ … unless it’s broken of course.
Isn’t this the way of life, far beyond the toddler ages. We seem to be a bit selfish. This issue is huge. Selfishness is more than childish mindset. It is a sin that leads to heartache, broken relationships, covertness, and more. John Piper said there was but one way great way to fight it …
“The best way to fight selfishness
is not to think about selfishness,
but to think about Christ.”
So this week, today, let us think less of what we think is ours and more about Him. After all, it’s all about Him and it’s all His anyway.
Personal Note: After my grandson went back to Texas, I had a few things missing. I have to assume, they were no linger mine, that they have been claimed by a higher calling, a toddler’s calling.
