I had to do a creative project this week. So first let me say, I am somewhat creative but my creative side is a bit weird. But I plugged through and completed the task. Now, I can’t guarantee it that it will be used, but I did my part.
However – it is a pretty good size file – way too much to text and even many email platforms will balk. So I examined options. A DVD-rom? thumb drive? Air drop if they were close?

In the end, I went with all options.
I have faced this issue before – even on the trails – and in various scenarios.
– the backpack felt too heavy
– the gap in the scramble was too small for my oversized belly (yes, I know and I ask you not judge me)
– the remainder of the journey seems too far when considering what energy I have remaining
And many face this issue in life. Life is more than muddy – it’s massive and coping seems hard and overwhelming. So I researched some ways to help cope … I hope you find these educational … and I hope I learned along the way as well.
1 – UNPLUG … interestingly, this was at the top if many lists. So I would take this one very seriously

2 – BREATHE … deep breaths, focusing on the simplicity of the task – fresh air in/old stress out. Doing this sends a message to our brain – calm down dude
3 – FOCUS ON THE LORD … when the little things of life take our attention, return to the one thing on which we should focus (Hebrews 12:1-2)
4 – WRITE IT OUT … journal your feelings, thoughts, emotions – it might just get you to focus more as you focus on writing about things – some call this a thought dump and others say this helps with mental realignment
5 – HAVE A SUPPORT GROUP … we need friends, loved ones that walk the path with us. – they pick us up, keep us on the right path, and even pull us back from getting too far off the path (Eccl 4:9-12)
6 – SERVE SOMEONE ELSE … there is something about pouring our lives into others help us overcome the negative feelings we might be going through
These were from popular websites. I want add some I have used and learned helps …
- SING … music calms savage times
- SLEEP … rest helps rejuvenate
- SHED … get rid of some of the weight, pass it along, push it down the road, or whatever – just get rid of it
I hope these help. When life gets to be too, there is hope.
