Wow, what a week of the old country store and eatery. New logo. Old logo. A roller coaster ride for many.
And yes, I have frequented many of the establishments over the years. I wrote much of my Thesis at the Cracker Barrel in Wilson, NC. There was one near the residence of my in-laws and it was a regular spot when in that DeSoto community.
But my favorite story of Cracker Barrel had nothing to do with me. But I wish it did, I wish I had thought of it and done it. Here it is …
A family of five plotted a usual plan. They started with taking a family photo in vintage clothes and then printed on paper that made it looking like an antique photo. They got an old frame and put the picture in it. Next, they went to a local Cracker Barrel. The took their photo with them.
Here’s the fun part.
They took their photo and put on the lattice wall of Cracker Barrel. And when they finished and returned home, they left their picture on wall at Cracker Barrel right along with the antiques surrounding it. It was there, for everyone to see.

They left their impact.
How far will you go to leave your impact? What will be those that follow remember about you?
Cracker Barrel had a roller coaster week that will not be forgotten in the short haul.
But when it comes to our role, role as children of God, we deal with eternity. What impact will you leave?
