Keeping it simple this Friday. No matter where you are, you can worship God. Stuck in a flat alone – worship. In a country ranch with kids driving you crazy – sing praises. Quarantined in a retirement village – give thanks. In front of an empty sanctuary – extol His name. Walking in the woods – talk to God and give Him glory.
Evergreen. Arches, Shenandoah, Frisco, Klyde Warren Park, Richmond, Devil’s Marble Yard, Old Rag, San Fran, McAfee Knob, Lavender Farm, Holliday Lake, James River Park, Dallas Baptist University, George Washington Nat’l Forest …. all places I’ve worshipped.
A lesson from the trail is this … you don’t need to be in a pew, surrounded by others (though that is a good thing) – you don’t need to be in a “church building” to worship. Worship can happen anywhere.
In this journey called Life, it gets a bit muddy - But Jesus sees beyond the mud and sees the person He created, the person He loves, and the person He is still working on. I am one of those persons - and so are you. I am a sold-out follower of Jesus, husband way out of my league, father to a great son, part of the family of God, and pastor of a great church family - Evergreen Baptist in Appomattox.
