To the Uttermost

The book of Hebrews declares the superiority of Jesus – His greatness, His eternal majesty, His Awesomeness (that’s Awesome with a capital A)! And there are several points the author demonstrates … how we should fix our eyes on Jesus, how we are to walk by faith, how we are realize He is the perfect and complete sacrifice. At the heart of epistle (old word for a letter written to someone) … at the heart of the epistle is the core of the gospel.

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Consequently … based on His superiority

He is able … He has the power, the ability, the willingness … TO THE UTTERMOST

He has a purpose … to allow us to draw near, to restore the relationship between God and man

He is the guarantee … since he always lives

TO THE UTTERMOST … No mountain He can’t level
TO THE UTTERMOST … No depth too deep
TO THE UTTERMOST … No one is too far gone to bring back
TO THE UTTERMOST … No one is too broken to be put back together
TO THE UTTERMOST … No pain is too deep He can’t heal
TO THE UTTERMOST … No shackles are too tight He can’t break
TO THE UTTERMOST … No sin is too black He can’t forgive

He is able … TO THE UTTERMOST!

And that makes me feel so secure. For I was saved … from the uttermost.

And you can be too!
