Even In the Hard Times – I Will Praise

Today, a little insight to the crazy way my mind thinks. It is not so much a direct stream of consciousness as much a internal thinking on issue that is rattling in my brain. Follow me on this stream of thought … I am thinking of life yet seeing scriptures that explain things yet challenge for more …

Psalm 34 … I will extol the Lord at all times;
    his praise will always be on my lips.

We praise God for who He is, We thank God for what He’s done.

So, all times … all times I will praise the Lord. Good times, bad times. Sickness … health. Rich …. poor. (kind of like wedding vows) At all times I will praise Him.

Even in the hard times.

Habakkuk 3 …
Though the fig tree does not bud
    and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
    and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
    I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Very specifically, this reveals that I will rejoice, I will be joyful … there is reason. Look at the next verse …

The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
    he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
    he enables me to tread on the heights.

I will praise the Lord even in tough times …

I will praise the Lord for He brings me out of the hard times …

I will exalt you, Lord,  for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me … Psalm 30.

Need an example – Acts 16 … Paul and Silas sing praises in prison – IN PRISON.

Think about this … the word praise appears over 200 times in the Bible. It appears over 100 times just in the book of Psalms. Seems to be pretty important. Will you spend time praising Him … today. Don’t wait.
